James Tissot and his "Parisiennes"

What to see  -

James Tissot was the fashionable artist from 1850 to 1902. We find the importance of his art: portraits of aristocrats of the time alongside scenes of Victorian life and images of "Parisiennes". His talent is recognized, his sense of detail pushes the critic John Ruskin to qualify his paintings as “colored photographs”.

Discovery of a major artist of the 19th century and relive a page in the history of art with him. Since you are at the Musée d'Orsay, take a look at the exhibition In the Land of Monsters. On the way for a great walk to the museum!
